Help my girl find a laptop? - Page 2

Thanks, but she needs this for work so no macs . They're nice laptops - getting a MBA myself later this summer.

She's using an old T61p right now and my experience with laptops has been all Thinkpads (I still use my T500 and X301), but they don't sell those at Best Buy and we have a $200 GC there.. The GC combined with the XBOX deal would make that Toshiba she's looking at ~$400, which is pretty tough to beat IMO.

Hmmm... don't settle, though, for the lower resolution. I am sure you can find a higher res rig at BB. Maybe not 1080...? Then again, I have seen lots of things at BB that have surprised me in the past.

I hate BB's online shopping, though. It isn't fine tuned enough to shop by resolution.

Yeah, I'm configuring T420s's right now (1600x900), but ultimately it's up to her. We'll probably end up going to BB this weekend and check out various options. Thanks for all the help!

I found this Samsung but its sort of overkill IMO. Does have Blu-Ray and a i7 Sandy Bridge.

Or maybe an Asus bamboo laptop which isn't that overkill.

Possibly a Dell Inspiron?

All from Best Buy, not sure about the free Xbox but are all above $700.
