ASUS P8P67 RAID 5 help needed

post #1 of 8
Thread Starter
as i said i have the ASUS P8P67 MOBO and im trying to set up RAID 5 and cant for the life of me. I found a thread on OCN that kinda helped but i couldnt get the rest. I put the mobo in AHCI mode so i could put the OS on my 64BG SSD (win 7). then the other post i saw said to switch into raid mode after i got the OS installed on the SSD but now i cant figure out how to configure the RAID Array and these EUFI bios have my friends confused since they are used to good ole fashion BIOS.

Hope that was enough info to help.

you could have two different controllers on your motherboard one for sata 3 and one for sata 2 like my classified 3 dose. if you look through you owns manual it should say what ports are on which controller.
plug all three of the 2tb drives into the light blue and the ssd into the dark blue one

Bringing a dead post back to life...

Sorry you didn't get that much help from the community. They are usually really good at that but thanks for finding out. I am planing on setting up a raid 5 and that is why i got my P8P67 Deluxe. I'm giving you rep for working your way through it.

Thanks =)

P.S. last night i had some fun with my RAID Array.

P.S.S. Never reset the CMOS when you have a Hardware RAID. Restoring my back ups will take me 13 days, glad the Array wasn't full.
