[Overclocking] AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+

Thread Starter
Currently I have this old CPU but I'm planning to get a new one. I've manage to crank my core speed from 2.4 to 2.6 with 1.464v. I'm using an aftermarket cpu cooler. the question is.

1. Can I get higher than 2.6?
2. Is 1.464v ok for this one?
3. How to know the right amount of voltage for the cpu.

BTW, CPU temp @ stock/oc'ed ranges from 32 ~ 36 in half load.

Sorry I'm new to oc'ing, but I'm willing to learn more

I wouldn't change voltages until you BSOD, or can't boot into windows. When you BSOD raise the voltage alittle at a time until its stable. I'm new to overclocking also.

Ok I've tried resetting the VCORE to its default state. 1.350v, seems normal to me. no BSOD's / Booting Error yet. but I think upon reading some threads like this one, They raised their voltages to 1.45v @ 2.7
