Seriously debating between the Vertex 3 and the Intel 510. They are $30 difference in price for me. Thoughts? I am a fan of Intel's reliability, but OCZ's random's are far superior.

Was just looking at the Vertex 3 today....same price as my Agility 2. Depending on when I want a new SSD, the Vertex 3 will most likely be my next SSD, hopefully in a 200+GB size.

Disappointed they left out the M4. It's been performing very well for me for the last few hours. Would love to get more reassurance that I made a solid choice.

This. And MTBF means nothing for a consumer.

No, not at all. Intel drives have been MUCH more reliable than OCZ drives. There's an article somewhere around here with the exact numbers, but IIRC, it was less than 1% of Intel drives failing vs. 3-4% of OCZ drives. (off the top of my head; correct me if you have the exact numbers)

Nearly the same controller. And in some tests the M4 isn't any better than the C300, although in others it's far better.

Yeah, this as well. I wouldn't buy a (2nd gen) SF drive right now, no matter the performance promises.

If you have to get an SSD now get the Intel 510. But if you want better performance, wait till the Sandforce 2 controller gets fixed and snag a Vertex 3 or Corsair Force GT. Luckily Corsair was willing to refund me on my Force Series 3 and I'll be waiting for the update.

SandForce 2 >>> Intel...once bugs are sorted out, .so glad I waited. I think I learned my lesson with going SandyBridge on release (4 mobo's and 3 cpu's change my naive thinking ).

I would not say that.

Intel is more reliable and the performance on drives with fewer NAND hurts SandForce performance.
Once again...
