hi im new to overcloking..i have a question

spec
i5 2500k
MSI Z68A GD80
G.Skill F3-12800CL6D-4gGBXH 6-8-6-24 1.5v
Noctua NH-D14
SeaSonic X560

up to 4.6 Ghz i can run ram at 1866 6-9-6-24 1.6v & 2133 7-10-7-27 1.62v. its stable
on 4.7+ Ghz needs 1.71v at least to run 2133 7-10-7-27 or it wont post!

1. is it bios related? or
2. up the multiplier needs more vram?

Try increasing your PLL. Also what are you running your VCCIO at?

VCCIO definitely needs to be tuned. My guess is that you have it on AUTO? Try 1.10-1.20v.

VCCIO up to 1.25 wont help
once i reduced pll to 1.55 and be able to post + boot into windows
hyperpi 32m passed

If you're looking for a 24/7 cpu & memory OC, you need to set your ram at a slower speed. Also make sure you do not set your voltage for the memory no higher than 1.65v.

It's not a bios issue, it's all about finding the right combination for the cpu & memory OC along with the right voltages that will work in a unified manner.

Just curious...How familiar are you with OC'ing?

here's im at 4.6 with 2133

Why is your image 1366x768? O.o don't you have a full HD monitor? But yeah, what is your voltage on the RAM? for the P67/Z68 platforms you should stay at 1.65v or lower
