XFX 650w Modular power supply good?

Thread Starter
Is this power supply the best modular for its price range? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-007-_-Product

I see some of the reviews say that it makes a loud clicking noise and whatnot, I just want a confirmation from someone who actually owns it, thanks

It's a good unit and a pretty solid deal if you take advantage of the rebates.

The fan clicking noise happens, but as always, you will hear a lot more feedback from people who had a problem than from people who didn't have a problem. In reality the clicking fan issue doesn't happen often. And yes, it's a good PSU.

I'll be installing mine tonight will let you know of this "clicking".

Hope I don't get it reason I got a new case and GPU was to get rid of stupid whining noises.

I have it , Zero issue's , Great deal , Rumor is Internal are made by corsiar? somebody correct me if im wrong

I remember reading about the clicking fan but I was lucky enough to get one that doesn't do it, mine has been silent from day one. It's in a bottom mounted case, maybe that problem only happens over time when the PSU is hung upside down?

They are not made by Corsair (they do not make their own PSUs), they are made by Seasonic. However, the internals are the same as the Corsair TX V2 series.

They are made by SeaSonic but the internals are not like the Corsair TX650V2 -- that's the XFX Core Edition (non modular). Internally the XXX Edition is closer to a first generation TX650.

I can confirm mine is the XXX edition however it does not have a lime green fan as i saw a reviewers unit had. Also does not have the clicking
