i5 2500k + GTX570 - Gaming bottleneck

Thread Starter
Hey all,

With a i5-2500k @ 4GHz + a GTX570 stock, is there a CPU bottleneck for gaming?

If so at what clock for the i5-2500k would the GPU then become a bottleneck?

You will have no bottleneck at all, forget about overclocking anything, just install some games and enjoy your new computer.

OK cool.

Another question, regarding my HDD.

When I did my build I looked around and decided that HDD only affects load-times/install, and has no bearing on FPS or anything once the game is loaded.

Is that accurate?

Also - regarding my CPU.

I have it OC'd and at v1.150. Sometimes in CPU-z I notice the voltage creeping up to 1.160v. Why would it do that, when I set the VCore in my BIOS to 1.150? Is that normal?

I tested in Prime95 for an hour and all was fine.

Voltages can jump little higher and lower depends on what You're doing. Every mobo and CPU doing that.

HDD will only affect FPS if you defragment or image the drive while you play games.
