UFO case Watercooling Project (1st time)

Thread Starter
Hello guys, i have no experience what so ever with watercooling, i have just seen some videos and read a little bit about it, im hoping for some help here with the pros, here is a list of the hardware that i want to watercool:

Mobo: Asus Rampage 3 extreme
Procesor: I7-980x
Ram: Corsair dominator GT 12gb
Video cards: 2 ATI XFX 6990s with Koolance VID-AR699 waterblocks

I want to make 2 loops for this hardware, 1 loop for the video cards and the 2d loop for the rest of the hardware, here you can see attached a ****ty paint design of the loops with the accesories i want to use, and there is also a picture of the case im gonna use for the project, so you can have a better idea of what im up to.

The 2 EK 360 rads will be at front -bottom of the case, the xspc 240 at the back-top and the 120 rad at the bottom-right side of the case, also the Mobo will be installed horizontally. So please let me know your toughts of everything, and thanks in advance for your help!

I hear that the XSPC rads are better than EK rads, so you may want to change those 2 360 rads to XSPC ones.
But don't hold me to that, the difference may not be very significant.

When I didn't have the pedestal attachment on my UFO I found that running a single loop with my tri sli setup on a total of 6x120 rad gave better temps for gaming and everyday usage. The only time you would want the cpu on a separate loop is for cpu folding. GPU folding and gaming single loop will give better temps overall.

I would also stay away from both the EK and XSPC rads for this build since you need to dump tons of heat. The best choice would be the Hardware Labs Black Ice GTX series radiators with 1500+ rpm fans (gentle typhoon/ noiseblocker/yate) since that series of radiator begins out perform significantly with that RPM of fan.

I would say stick with a single loop and put the pumps in series.

Take a look at the various EK threads in the section before you make a decision to go with EK water blocks. Especially nickel plated ones.
