Replacement for Sibera V2

Hey guys,

So basically my Siberia's crapped out on me, one of the drivers stopped working so i sent it back to the store i bought it from and they are gonna send me a new pair. What im planning to do is just sell the new ones and get something else. I was thinking of getting the HD555's and just buy a clip-on mic. I game more than i listen to music but i love my music to have abit of bass. I listen to music ranging from Metal and Rock to Dubstep and bit of a Rap. When it comes to gaming, i play FPS games but mainly play Counter Strike Source (competitively), so sound must also be good for that. I will be buying a sound card when i get enough money but for now i will have to settle with onboard sound.

How are the HD555s for Music and/or Gaming?

Do you recommend any other headphones?

Thanks all

EDIT : Sorry forgot to mention how much i have to spend. My budget is £100.

The 555s don't have much bass. I'd go for the ATH-M50s.. they'd suit your needs better than the 555s I think.

Well the Siberia's i had were ok for bass but of course being a "gaming headset" it would distort because the drivers sucked. I dont want an insane amount of bass just enough to give abit of a kick.

Im gonna have a look at them now

EDIT : I guess i am abit of a basshead lol

The M50s are even more perfect but AD700s would be your best option for 3d positioning due to the large soundstage but they're open so little isolation and they don't have much bass at all.

wut? I like my Fatal1ty MK IIs, great bass. I know it's nothing big, but my friend with Beats Studios like mine more ^^ But they are not much compared to the ATs being mentioned in here. HD 595s are nice too.

NVM on the 595, out of budget

Hmmm... Are the A700s the same but closed instead of open? If so, then id go for them if they are roughly the same but with a bit more bass. Also, remember i dont have a soundcard right now!

How are the DT770s?

I think im gonna go for the M50s. Are there any good sound cards for around £20-30? If so which would you recommend?

Thanks once again!

I have Razer carcharias. They are pretty good. They have pretty good bass, with little distortion.
If you can get them for like 50 dollars they are a great headset. Plus they have the mic built in, no need for a clipon one.
They have pretty good sound positioning too.

The xonar DX and DG are pretty decent cards.
