CPU Fan Obstructed, Big Overheat - Page 2

You're using a factory intel heatsink with push pins? Make sure they are pushed in all the way. They should make a click when they lock.

Oh so you have to push down the legs as well as the locking i did? All I could figure out was to turn the 4 legs till they wouldnt come loose... Do i have to push the legs down before or after locking them?

Alright so I did click in them all as much as I could but I'm down to still 48C as of last night At my EFI/BIOS Screen on my P8P67 right after I boot up. I'm using a NZXT Zero Case with Fans at Full Blast too. Is my CPU Bad?

with no overclock on the stock heat sink, you should be in the 30's or lower at idle. 48c is still pretty high for a stock cooler at idle. Load at stock speeds should be mid 50's to mid 60's. I know it was 96f yesterday where I live, what was you temp inside your place?

Idle temps are meaningless, especially if we don't know ambients.

If you are sure the heatsink is on correctly, run a stress test like Prime95 and see what temperature the CPU gets up to.
