Guys,
so i OCd QX6850 to 3.6 [333*9 > 400*9] that's a FSB of 1600. Bad Company 2 still lags slightly, indicating that the bottleneck, sadly, must be the 4870X2 ;(

Even at 3Ghz, I bet if you got something like a 460/6850/6870 your gaming experience would be a whole lot smoother. You might not match the highs your current GPU can, but it should make things more consistent.

Your CPU is fine for gaming. 1680x1050 does not need a multi GPU setup. Anything in the $150-$200 range will give a very nice gaming experience at that resolution.

Try the 10.5 drivers, I remember they were the best for Crossfire in BC2.
After that, it was all downhill.
