Asus U3s6 + P5Q Deluxe

Thread Starter
Will this card help me get sata III on my p5q deluxe motherboard?
Now i have 275 read and 213 write with the onboard sata II controller. Will i get more MB/s with that card?
I'm using an ocz vertex 3.

Here's a link of the U3S6: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Accessories/U3S6/

Looks like you aren't quite hitting the SATAII barrier so I'd have to assume you wouldn't notice an increase in speed... if you were grab another vertex 3 down the road for RAID then you'd get speeds well into the SATAIII range.

Actually, it's just to use 1 ssd but at sata III instead of sata II, i want to know if i'll get better speeds than 275 read 213 write

Considering the Vertex 3 does what 550r/525w or something along those speeds then yes you'll get a huge performance boost from going to SATA3.

Has anyone tested tis card with an vertex 3? i've read in a dutch forum that people just get worse results because of the controller on the card or something
