Hey all,

I'm going to custom build a new 2500k/NVidia Pc.

Here's the Specs:
CPU - Intel i5 2500k
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=6&subcat=1275

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=5&subcat=1990

GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti OC Twin FrozR II
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...14&subcat=1341

PSU - Corsair TX 650W V2
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...id=123&subcat=

HDD's - 2x Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 1TB
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...14&subcat=1279

Case - Corsair Carbide 500R (when it comes out)
http://www.corsair.com/carbide-serie...ower-case.html

Any comments are appreciated.

Don't see anything memory wise, I'd recommend GSkill or Corsair, make sure you get a dual channel kit, 4 or 8GB should suffice. Personally I would choose a different hard drive, either find some Samsung F3's or WD Caviar Blacks. As for the PSU it's definitely a quality unit, may want to consider a modular one though for hiding cables and whatnot.

I'd just get a really nice 500w psu, you don't need a 650w.

Ah whoops forgot RAM
i already have Corsair XMS3 (2x 2Gb) so i didn't put that on the buy list thanks for reminding me.

and what's the difference between those hard drives to mine?

how is a modular different also?

The hard drives (WD Caviar Black and Samsung F3) have faster speeds, which can actually be noticeable during games.

Also, a modular PSU means you can choose the cables coming out of it, so you can take any you aren't using out. It's by no means necessary, but it can help with cable management.

since you're going z68, Id recommend 1 small SSD and 1TB instead of the raid setup.

I've got 2Hdd's ready to go in when it's built and am thinking about SSD but later on when they are a bit cheaper for higher capacity.

Your better off with P67 instead of Z68 chipset if you plan on going SSD at any point since you won't be needing the Intel Smart Response Techonology though the price difference isn't much.

I'd recommend 8GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz RipjawsX (CL 7-8-7-24-2N) Should work wonders with Sandy Bridge with the internal memory controller and the CL7 settings.
