Droid X2 Issues

Thread Starter
Seems to be im having some issues with my recent phone upgrade to a droid X2. I noticed lately (in the past few days) That while text messaging and hitting the space key, the screen tends to 'go back' to the conversation thread requiring me to re-enter the message text editing area (keyboard). this happens roughly 2-8 times per text message and is becoming quite annoying. Here is what I have tried thus far:

1. Reseting phone (shutting off and turning back on)
2. Reseting phone (shutting off in airplane mode, turning back on)
3. Removing Battery (shutting off, letting sit for 5 minutes, removing battery, then replacing everything)
4. Ran 'lookout' virus scanner with no results.
5. Removed some apps that i had installed.

Any recommendations? I've had the phone for less than two weeks, im wondering if there is something physically wrong with it and if i should just return it to verizon? Any suggestions would be apperciated.

U can reset the phone which will bring it back to like when u bought it.

Make sure u back up your numbers to the sd card. (Won't delete anything off the sd card)

Then go to settings, privacy, then click on "Factory Data Reset".

If that does not work return the phone to verizon and get a new one unless u wanna try and reinstall the rom on the phone.

Yeah, android can get a little buggy sometimes and it's just best to start with a clean slate. I just reset my Samsung intercept yesterday and it came right back to life in terms of responsiveness.
