Intel i5 2500k/i7 2600k with GTX 570/GTX560Ti TFII respectively. Which combo best ?

hey, so im building a pc around battlefield 3, saw the leaked (rumored) system requirements, and for recommended it was a gtx 260 and quad-core cpu.
So far i get these components
Samsung DVD Writer
Arctic Cooling Fan (for case somewhere)
Corsair H50/H60
HAF 912
Corsair Vengance 4GB 1600 CL9
already got my arctosa/deathadder smile.gif
already has LG 1920X1080 2ms 50K contrast
Asus P8P67 REV3.0
Corsair GS600W gaming series
AND EITHER
i5 2500k(with GTX 570 MSI)
i7 2600K(with GTX 560 TI MSI TwinFrozr II)
TOTAL - about $1066 before tax, 1.2k$ after tax

So i want to max out BF3, at 1920X1080, with 2xAA and 16xAF
whats my best option?

Just for gaming, I'd save $100 on CPU and get the i5 2500k. You might see a couple of fps increase from HT, but in the end you'll see a much bigger bump from that $100 if you buy a better GPU or spend it on a SSD.

So I say i5 2500k/GTX 560/SSD boot drive.

You won't see much difference b/t the 2500k and 2600k while gaming. I say 2500k since you'll be able to get a gtx570.

I would go with the i5 + 570. A stronger video card should help you more than a slightly stronger cpu.

Yeah as everyone said above... you won't see a difference between i5-2500k vs. 2600k, but then you will see a bigger difference between 570 vs 560 =)

True Facts...
2500k OC'd is a beast for gaming...
and with the money you save, if you can go 570... you will be set for a very long time.

IT LOOKS EPIC OMG CANT WAIT< too bad i start uni next year, a lot less time for BF3

also with 2500k/gtx 570, at those settings above do you think i could get 60 fps constant online? or close to it? like not below 50 during intense fights.

we can only guess... but I am going to say: I don't know.
we are talking big servers... 32 player online matches right?
50fps with 32 people... might be hard without SLI/Crossfire
