If this is a gaming only machine, then I say get the I5-2500k + GTX570. If you do a lot of video rendering, then you'll appreciate the 2600k...In game you won't see any difference between the two. It's really up to you and what you're going to do with the rig. Either combo will max out BF3 anyway...

Definitely go for i5 2500k,gtx 570 for gaming no question ask and overclock that cpu TO MAXIMUM, this will be best set up for gaming pc.
Having hyper thread cpu makes no difference in video games especially comparing 2500k vs 2600k cpu unless you plan on using your computer for heavy rendering, photoshop, converting, multiple multitask then 2600k would be definitely better choice here.

get the better GPU or save some money and get teh 2600K b/c i bet BF3 will be heavily multithreaded.

If you really wonna face the facts, go look into how they are making the game and what technologys are used, tessellation, dx11 effects, new alialising technicues etc. Which are used in heavy gpu tests...

So if you wonna max out bf3 at 64-player match, you'll need more like 2x gtx580s and atleast the 2500k

And the game itself will take 4gb ram at worst (said by repi, so sshhh) so atleast +2gb more ram

Let the games begin, I'm saving money for second 570.. Sad that they are rarely good clockers
