Cool&Quite / C1E advice

hi guys. I need an advice. I've never used these CPU throttle down option on my computers cos I always overclock and I'm into thinking that this could lead to problems, maybe I'm wrong.
I just upgraded my brothers computer to Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P mainboard and PhenII 955 BE. I will not OC his computer for now cos he plays only strategy games and no heavy FPS. Would you recommend to enable Cool&Quite and C1E options in BIOS. Could it lead to any problems if I just OC his mem a bit and take latencyes to the max?
If I remember correctly, after enableing this options in BIOS I need to switch Power Settings in Win (Win7) from High Performance to Cool&Quite option? Are there any additional progs/drivers I need for this to function?

CnQ & C1E can cause problems when your pushing your chip to the max, and need your vcore very consistent in order to avoid instability, doesn't mean it will, im sure your fine to enable it, cooler when idle and less power consumption.

Cool and Quiet can only do you good. It's going to make your chip run very cool at idle because of downclocking and undervolting. It will boot back up the instant you run a program. It has no bad sides, only good sides such as longer lifespan and less energy consumption.

Turn it on even on your OC'd pc if you can, it will disable itself after 18/18,5 multi though. Just turn it off while you OC, but after when you've found stable settings it should be turned on.

well it's working without problems so far.
I've enabled C1E and C&Q in BIOS + balanced scheme in Win.

I've also set all the default settings/speed(s) of CPU in BIOS on "manual" except Voltages.

Can I also change Voltage to manual or in that case it wont work?

I've found this on the net, but I don't think this is good info cos obviusly it's working without probs on manual:

"· Do NOT manually set the CPU frequency or multiplier in the BIOS. Doing so will lock the processor speed and disable C’n’Q functionality"

If you change the voltages from offset to manual your bios will auto deactivate CnQ/C1E and gray them out so you can't use them.

No.

Nothing will happen to CnQ no matter what you do in BIOS, unless you go over 18 multiplier.

So that means that if I need to add more V to the CPU V for example, I can't use throttle options?
So that's the catch. In my case then, I cant use C&Q cos my CPU V is slightly raised to get stability.
