Liquorix

Thread Starter
Is there a noticeable difference in speed between stock kernel and Liquorix?

If I'm on Debian Squeeze, how would I go about installing it? I assume it'd be:

1. Add to /etc/apt/sources.list

# /etc/apt/sources.list.d/liquorix.list
deb http://liquorix.net/debian sid main

2. Then type in apt-get install '^liquorix-([^-]+-)?keyring.?' to terminal (or perhaps apt-get upgrade first?)

Thanks OCN.

if you run #! it does it for you lol

i dont really notice a speed difference... but then again im either on VMs or a quad core... so...

if you wanna run it, go for it, if not, then dont having another kernel never HURTS, you can always remove it, just dont remove your squeeze kernel and youll be fine
Kinda meh now...

I don't particularly find anything great about it. I ran it for a while, it's good, I personally think the only patches that matter with performance are the BFQ/BFS patches. Other than that the liquorix kernel just adds a bunch of unofficial function. It has the modified hibernate an stuff, so it might be more useful than the stock kernel.
