Should I return to RMA my Ocz Agility 3 60gb?????

PLEASE HELP PEOPLE!!!

I just installed a fresh copy of windows 7 x64 ultimate on my ocz agility 3 60 gb( second time in two days! )

first i set in BIOS AHCI mode, then install windows 7 ultimate x64 and then tried:

1) Intel RST drivers ( latest ) and SATA II connection and benchmark!

2) Marvell drivers and SATA III connection with latest Marvell drivers and benchmark!

I think according to these results and if I compare with other user's results( with the same SSD ) that I should return it to RMA!!!

here is my result:

1) INTEL RST and SATA II:

2) Marvell drivers and SATA III ( not native on my x58 mobo ):

what do you think, should I return it and get my money back??

is it possible that I am doing something wrong???

PLEASE HELP!!

From everything I've read on the OCZ forums, the Marvell SATA-III controller is pretty useless in terms of bandwidth. The speeds you're seeing on it are a testament to that. Unfortunately for your motherboard, the only other option is a better, but slower (SATA-II) controller (the Intel one). From what I've read, the Intel one is much more reliable and is recommended the drive be used on this controller, although unfortunately this would run on an SATA-II interface. The only way to get those speeds up to what they should be is getting a motherboard with a decent SATA-III controller. There could also be a decent SATA-III controller PCI-Express card but I'm not well informed about which are good and which are bad (certainly avoid any with a Marvell controller). Ask on the OCZ forums - they will be able to recommend some.

hey man listen, it is smarter for my mobo to buy crucial c300 and put it on sata II controller, and enjoy in its speed am i right?

according to results in AS SSD, my ocz agility 3 is much slower than crucial c 300 , is it right?

We have the same OC and I have an Asus R3E MB so I would assume performance would be the same. My C300 128GB SSD AS SSD benchmark score is 591, the drive is hooked to the Intel SATA ports, set up as AHCI. I think the RST drivers I have installed is 1046, I am not at home so I can not look. I do know that the ones I have installed were released in the October 2010 time frame.

BETTER RESULT with the latest rst drivers...

I would return it and purchase a drive using a different make of controller. The Agility 3 and Vertex 3 drives simply cannot be trusted at present. my Agility 3 was fast, but who knew when it was going to suddenly disappear from BIOS? Only happened to me once, but that and the goings on in their forums made me lose faith in the drive.
