Glossy Vs. Matte?

Thread Starter
Is it just me or does it seem like more and more places are leaving out whether the screen on laptops are glossy or matte?

I have been checking out a few different netbooks and it doesn't get listed that the screen is glossy which to me is very important information..

Maybe the average user doesn't care? but, it seems like that could be a major functionality issue for some people.

They realize this is to much of a deciding factor so if they leave the info out people are willing to take the chance.

Just look up a review or look carefully at user photos

The average retard walks into bestbuy and pays a 200$ markup on a 300$ laptop.
Also, lately there has been a carbon fiber vinyl that people are using on there PCs to cover components, mouses, ect. I think this would be a good idea to put on an ugly laptop. I think 3M makes the best, and has a veriety of colors and textures.

Eh.. good point about 300$ mark up..

I can see that one now "man this laptop gives me headaches.. I still can't figure out why.... but, everytime I use it, I notice I have to squint more to read the text.. almost like a light shining in my eyes"...

Just to be clear, I'm not bashing anyones preference. I'm colorblind so what is more "vivid" to others is "wasted" for me.

My point was only that people are almost indifferent as to what they are buying.. not that no one has reason for their preference.

I can agree with that...The laptop that I am using to write this post is the Matte one and I bought it from Dell back in 2008 and that was the last time I have seen much talk of an option for glossy or matte on a monitor so your point is very valid.

lol. Now it just seems to be the luck of the draw.

I find a laptop I like.. it has a glossy screen.

Maybe I'm just being to picky but, it seems like a bad headache in the making.
