I got the GA-X68XP-UD4 because I don't plan on running a dedicated GPU for a while, until fall or so. I prefer HDMI only instead of several types of video outs that I'll never use lol.

Can't beat the UD4's all black/gunmetal color scheme either.

Gigabyte does make some purdy boards. It would help if you mentioned what kind of features you're looking for OP.

Personally I would go with asus, it comes down to who you prefer and from your own experience.

Gigabyte cause more power phases?? LOL

Honestly their build quality is about the same, differences are just color and looks basically. Maybe some small features here and there might be different. Shallow stuff...

V PRO has a "useless 3,o USB back bracket" if you plan to use the ONLY x16 electical PCI E lane. (PCIE x16 the first one)

ASK around here if Gigabyte has solved their "RESET/boot" issues.. if not.. maybe safer to go ASUS route.
