I'd choose ASUS knowing that my board wouldnt catch fire But really I would choose ASUS because you can achieve supreme OC's I've heard

i have a few noob questions..

what is the diff between toch bios and UEFI?

are there any vids of the mobo boot up graphic/styles?

i heard the asus has a nice boot up, but i haven't seen it and don't really know what part of the total 'boot' they are referring to.. thus a vid would be nice. thanks guys!

Personally I don't see why Gigabyte bothered with a "touch" BIOS interface. How many people have a touch monitor on their desktop computer? I could understand this on a cheap mobo being used for business and Kiosks but I would be willing to bet 99% of enthusiasts don't use a touch monitor. I could understand it on a laptop with a touch screen, or a tablet or something, but a desktop? I think they're aiming it at the wrong market myself.

Personally, I have two 27" monitors and I have no plans to replace them. I like the idea of a GUI for the BIOS (they actually had that years ago) but I don't see the point in making it "touch" as well.

I have been using Gigabyte boards for a long long time, and I have been reading reviews recently because it's time for mobo upgrade. After seeing the touch thing, I'm leaning more toward an ASUS board.

This just shows your ignorance.

Touch bios is just a piece of software that you use in WINDOWS with your MOUSE to change BIOS settings.

You could have found that out with 2 seconds of research.

Duh. You think? It's STILL DESIGNED for TOUCH. Get it? With two seconds of thought you may have been able to figure out what I was talking about instead of typing out a rather snotty reply.

Same. I'm always just completely amazed when people still report the issue. I had a boot/loop issue when I first bought my P67 board, and they corrected it within the first two BIOS updates. That was a long, long time ago.

Nobody mentioned that the Asus has an Intel onboard NIC, something that the majority of people does overlook. It's way better than realtek IC's and is a great feature.

For my personnal system, I lean towards the Asus. As for a noob customer, both are fine.
