Just Messing around i decided to put the Red Dot on my Fav Sniper Rifle (Sv98), and to my suprise i did much better with it than with a normal scope, i went on a 9 man killing spree, close range with a red Dot Sniper Rifle and a m1911 and a couple of grenades. I got a head shot from literally 250M Away (That was how far away i was from the Flag, and he was next to it so roughly that). With Magnum Ammo you can pretty much get a 1 hit kill most of the time.

Just letting peopel know that its suprising what you play around with and how much better you are with it.

Tried it .. not really for me.
I like using the normal scope. Not the 12x one. I use the extra ammo thing.
Using the normal scope is a great balance for long range shooting and close combat. I do a lot of quick scoping.
Did a 28/0 a few days ago. LOVE the gun (SV98). Plating it is a joy. Unlike the M14 or how HORRIBLE the G3 was.

Only use the red dot for the MG3. Iron sights suck on that gun. Everything else, iron sight.

edit: don't get me wrong. I'm not a camping sniper You'll mostly see me on Laguna Alta conquest running around all the time quick scoping. Never more than a few seconds to maybe half a minute in the same place.

You may not have unlocked it yet, it (IRL) has your weapon use FMJ Ammunituion, or Armor Piercing Rounds. Basically it makes you do more damage with all guns.

It makes you do less damage with shotguns at close range, but more at longer ranges.

I like using the GOL with a red dot scope in hardcore sometimes. I love the nerd raging that goes on in the chat. lol

I caused a decent amount of that myself, because i was playing on a softcore one since my ping was terrible on all the populated HC servers, and they saw that i was using a Red Dot. Priceless.

I find it easier to just no scope at the ranges where a red dot would be necessary. Keep the original scope on it for longer distances, which you will undoubtedly have to deal with. I use the 4x once in a while if I feel like quick scoping.
