according to my research LG just seems to make lower quality products compared to other manufacturers. in the same class products, LGs tend to be a little cheaper but i think its safer to spend the extra $40-50 to get a higher quality build.

personally, i'm just tired of buying entry level stuff for them to break a few months down the road....

I agree that about buying upper end stuff for peace of mind. I don't seem to have this association with LG being cheap apparently. I just dropped over 700 bucks on liquid cooling, yet still use LG monitors lol. I just can't seem to justify to myself spending 400+ per monitor vs the 239 for LG's like those in this thread. Dell isn't exactly quality either and those are around the same price as LG for equivalent e-IPS panels. To get out of this e-IPS class of monitors you got to drop around 400+ for anything decent.

Turn your brightness and contrast to the same as mine. Also keep in mind that in my PM I said my camera doesn't capture the bleed that well. They look worse in person than they do in the pics. I tried putting my camera in high ISO mode and it just went like 5x bleed mode. So my camera is just too ****ty to properly catch it. I'd say your 2nd monitor looks within spec. The first one and the ones before replacements are rubbish.

LG actually makes a number of the IPS panels that are in some of the highly acclaimed monitors that get recommended a lot. They make good panels. To a small extent, the unevenness in the bottom corners when the image is just black is typical on a lot of IPS monitors. It is never noticeable when the image isn't just a 100% black screen. I say keep them.

^This

I don't notice the back light bleed except during like a games black loading screen or something. General use never seems to show the flaws and I'm a really picky person.

lg monitors dont seem to have swivel stands which isnt a big deal and maybe one of the reasons they are cheaper.
overall it seems that in every class lg is cheaper than other monitors. and even worse their warrant is very limited. anything can go wrong with any monitor and that extra yr or 2 warranty can make a big difference.

i have the la2405 and its easily the worst monitor i've experienced. coz i went cheap and consumer level.

now before i buy a product i only read the negative reviews then make up my mind. i will not touch another hp monitor.. and, seems kinda harsh but i wont even look at an lg lol. which is unfair coz lg does make panels for other laptop manufacturers.

Not just laptops, LG panels are in a boat load of monitors. When you do research on panels there is a few sites that talk about the panels inside many different monitor brands/models and there is some REALLY nice monitors using LG panels. LG isn't top notch, but at least it isn't sceptre lmao.
