Hi everyone!, just finished creating my account xD.

I'm a guy from Argentina who is just about to *try* to overclock something for the very first time in his life and I'm reading every piece of info I can find about the subject to minimize the risks of that "something" actually catching on fire haha.

I already have a question and will post it in another thread (as soon as I figure out where that thread should actually go) but wanted to say hi to everyone first! .

Welcome to OCN! I see that you have a P55 i5... If you need some settings to hit 4.0, I'll show you my settings if you'd like.

Thanks! and yeah, that's actually my goal.
I'm going to do a couple of hardware changes in the next couple of days (more RAM, another HDD and VGA and installing a CPU cooler) and will first use it like that for a few days to make sure it's stable but then I'll get to the OC part and will probably be asking for a lot of help haha.

Hi welcome to OCN, i see you have a proper build and are ready to overclock, so since you are on a P55 platform, i have a VERY VERY nice in depth guide to p55 overclocking that one of our fourm members posted,

http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...ing-guide.html

i hit 4 GHZ for mine on my first try =P but maybe u can get lucky and be able to do 4GHz with lower voltages

Hmm hey, quick question. I did an OC following some guides I found around here and going with settings I've seen around, haven't done a full stress test yet so not sure exactly how stable they are (ran Prim95 for ~2 hours and it went well). If I want to show my settings and get input on what to change/improve or if they are good or not, where should I post?.

Thanks!.
