BFBC 2 crashing/freezing

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, this is my first thread here. I'm having a problem with BFBC2 freezing when i play multiplayer for more then 5 minutes or so, this has only happened recently, since i got a new motherboard (msi 890fxa). When it freezes, i cant do anything. Ctrl Alt Del doesn't work, Alt tab doesn't work. I have to press the power button to turn it off. It might have something to do with my CPU, i don't know :\\ my CPU is also a bottleneck for my computer at the moment. Showing 100% often in task manager when i play BC2. Please help.

Are your running MSI Afterburner or GPU-Z? Punkbuster conflicts with MSI Afterburner.

I'm running MSI Afterburner, i'll try running it without it on.

What you described in the OP happened to me.

To run MSI Afterburner and Punkbuster games at the same time, go to your MSI Afterburner folder. Rename RTCore.cfg to something else (like RTCore_old.cfg). Relaunch Afterburner. This will make Afterburner and Punkbuster not conflict with each other.

Thanks for the advice, BC2 works now 100% i'll setup the change and see if it works- if not, then i'll just turn off MSI afterburner when i want to play a punkbuster game. Thanks again!
