Definitely never mess with voltages again unless you know what you're doing and what the specific voltage change is going to effect.

and ive flashed it and its working now so gonna keep it at a safe o.c and just save for another mobo.what mobo would you guys suggest?

If you don't see fire or smell chips burning, you're probably ok
Sometimes the bios just get's screwed up due to the extra voltage. Unless it still seems touchy?

oh ya i smelled burning but i think it was my fans they going at about 4000rpm or 5000rpm don't know but my curtains were blowing all over the place im guessing thats bad. . .

Not upping the voltage to max

I honestly wouldn't even OC on that board if that happened to me. I wouldn't want it frying on me.

I wouldn't bother overclocking that 2005 dual core CPU and 7600gt combo..

I'd bin it and get a new PC.

if you really must get a new board.... then a asus P45 is a good buy....

or if you want a really good board...... then the asus x48e3 pro.... but that is ddr3 775 chipset
