i burnt out my mobo but it still works? - Page 3

Nice flame thread, so i found with 30 years in business and even more in experience i have learned every now and then the boss man has good advice along with other long timers at the shop. Every once in a blue moon they would\will get a board that powers up but, never posts so they would RMA usually always Asus cause that's all they really deal as far as mobos. Well after some time one of boys at shop got to talking with someone at Asus... I think either way after some time after seeing a small number of these power up no posters it turns out ever once in a rare occasion a board can wipe it's own bios it's cause by some freak one off fly voltage, freaks the bios chips it wipes and gets RMAed to Asus where they reflash the board.

Sounds like a similar deal here, except a little more damage was done is it what it seems like.
