GTX 570 TF3 voltage

Thread Starter
Hello, normally, I'm a huge ATI fanboy, but recently I've come across a deal that I couldn't ignore. I was able to snag a GTX 570 TF3 for $268 so I've come to the green side. Anyway, it's known that the GTX 570 max safe voltage is 1.1 but I want to know that if it would be the same for the TF3 version of it? From what I know it has improved VRM's but I'm still not sure.

Yes, the TF3 design features better VRM's. I'd imagine you can go well beyond 1.1v with the card, as long as temperatures allow.

Alright, thanks, shooting for 1.2-1.25 on overclocking once I get it. Another question, do you think a PHII at 3.5ghz will possibly bottleneck it?

I'd say it would a tad, depending on the game, but again not by much. I used to have a 955 at 3.9ghz and a 570TFII, upgraded to 2500k at 4.6 and noticed some slight performance increases in a few games most notable increase was in starcraft II (game that uses only 2 cores).

Yes. The DirectCU2 actually has 6+2 phase VRMs.
