Have you enabled the PS3's IP to sit in the DMZ in your router settings?

I find that at home if someone has been running p2p software it screws up the router and my connection stability with some but not all players is affected. Only rebooting the router fixes it in those cases.
I have not yet enabled DMZ for the PS3 which I will try temporarily. I don't want to open all the ports just for my gaming console but i'll check it out and let you all know...

Alright you guys... I set the DMZ which was no good... I love to play mainly fighting games online which I mostly use my PS3 for and here is an example of Tekken 6... In the screen, they are all 2 bars... which they should be green and 3-4 bars... Either everyone online playing tekken has a bad connection or it's obviously me...
Note my PC never lags so i'm guessing it's either my PS3 or the playstation network...
BTW... that 360 with the RROD is my wireless PS3 controller... got the idea from engadget

0ms ping is suspect?

Game lagging has little to do with throughput (500kbps U/D dedicated to the PS3 is plenty). It has to do with latency and 0-1ms would mean no lagging. Server-side response should not be an issue if tested with different games.

I'd suspect its more the PSN is still kind of broken since it was hacked, and that you will have to wait a bit for the network to stabilize. Also its more likely that the other people are causing you to lag, nothing to do with your connection. If games on your pc aren't lagging its most likely PSN related.
