Here is my x4 deneb at 4.4GHz.

Anyone want to run their x4 and x6 at 2.8GHz for cine?

As far as SuperPi,well if it is real, notice the system settings-low core speed,HTT higher than the NB,RAM timings at 1333MHz CL9,low NB speeds, and a regular platter HDD.A Phenom II at these settings would probably be quite a bit slower,no?

You mad bro?

But seriously, I never said I know how to make BD perform better. I simply stated a fact that if (notice this word. IF.) the engineering sample is (is, another notable word. If this is...) performing THIS horribly (supposition that if indeed this is a BD bench), then they have A LOT of work to do to get it to be competitive to the Intel i7 series (pointing out that if indeed that this chip is performing at this level, that it is not competitive). I'm suggesting they should go back to what they started to succeed with. They expanded into 64-bit processing and was the industry leader for a little while. They need to go back into groundbreaking technologies. More cores does not more performance make. It's a fact. It's a sad fact that seems that proc manufacturers are concentrating on. Benchmarking and testing proves no real gain for the desktop market above 3 cores. Per core performance is going to be the real determinate factor between the manufacturers. It appears you have me mistaken for a narcissist, when I'm simply pointing out a common trend among manufacturers today. I also fail to see where you gathered the assumption that I understood the weaknesses in the design to repair the issues with the processor... as such, your argument is invalid. Sorry

I added comments to help dissect my post for those whom fail to comprehend what I am suggesting.

These are merely comments on the performance of the engineering sample. Critique on performance encourages development. It's better that we complain now while they can fix it, instead of complaining once the core is finalized. They now know the people aren't pleased. And if you don't really care... then why are you trying to start an argument? L.O.L.

BallaTheFeared , just read what el gappo said.
For me personally it s enough.
The thread can be closed.
The CPU info may be real ,but the benchmarks could be fake.
We talk in vain here.

CPUID info is completely busted. It shows a 1 core 1 thread chip.

When SB first released it didn't read core voltage correctly at all.

An E5200 @ 2.8 GHz runs superpi 1M in about 19 seconds.
I' m not talking about Bd versus SB.E5200 is a low-end 3 years old LGA775 chip.

There is definitely something grossly wrong with this benchmark!
No way BD could run slower than a low-end E5200!!
