Searched if this topic has been brought up.

I mean minor things. Small Nuisance's.
For example. I hated in the past Windows never remembered the positions of my windows and folders after a small amount of time in XP. In that time to Windows 7 this has improved greatly and really only changes if I the user change them.

I'll start by saying that it'd be nice to see a stronger "open with" menu that solidifies the choice or a button that says to not let outside programs change those parameters.

When a program crashes and windows feels the need to display a message asking me if i want to close the program or wait for it to respond (or better yet just make me hit the close button) yet it doesnt let me use my mouse to click anything. I just wish programs would autoclose when they crash, i hate having to press every key on the planet just to get my mouse back so i can click close.

Often the program hasn't crashed; it has only become unresponsive. I know many games do it when a map is loading. Windows doesn't really have a way to know whether it is still processing valid information or is stuck in a crash loop.

Honestly, I have been very happy with Windows 7. Most of my gripes from XP and Vista have been resolved. Multi-monitor taskbar and workspaces (like Linux) would be two things I think I would use.

Some of the X11 window management abilities are available in ATI HydraVision with Catalyst drivers...the rest in the freeware app Switcher...tho multi-monitor taskbar still needs a payware app.

You can turn the display message and trouble shooting thing off, instead of having to alt tab out of the program that is hung up to hit the force close, it just will close it. Its all under the control panel's troubleshooting option, go to settings and turn computer maintenance off. Google is very friendly when it comes to getting rid of pesky things in Windows 7.

I wish it was easier to get all files from an uninstalled program off the computer.

Tired of uninstalling something, but still having 2 empty/partly filled folders on my PC, registry entries, etc., as well as a whole skew of other files in my Windows or system32 folders, I'm sure.

This is most annoying when it's something I'm only going to use one time, such as a setup file of some kind (like this NVIDIA driver setup file in the screenshot) because the chances of me opening it a 2nd time are extremely small. I mean, the next best chance of me opening it would be after a format and reinstall. So, it doesn't do me any good to disable "Always ask before opening this file" for things like this because it's very unlikely I'll ever be opening it again.

Note: I already have UAC completely disabled.

In other words, I think I'd like this little security feature to go away when UAC is disabled even though it's unrelated. Or, they should include a checkbox that we can place a check in that stops this from ever happening again for all files and not just the one that is being opened. It would make the process of formatting and starting over just a little less annoying.
