Newbie Phenom II 965BE Overclock spec?

Thread Starter
I new to this overclocking stuff. I went into the bios, I want to overclock the cpu to about 3.8 is that safe for this card?

I have an AMD Phenom II 965 BE
Palit 560ti 1gb GPU
DDR3 - 8gb 1600 Ram
1000w PSU
Asus m4n98TD evo MB
Liquid Cooling and plenty of ventilation and fans(3) in the case.

Spec on overclock are
FSB-200
PCIE-100
19x- CPu ratio
Ram frequ- 1600
cpu/nb- 2600
HT Link- 2600
CPU- 1.3875v
cpu/nb- 1.2v
Ram- 1.908v
HT Link- 1.20575v

Is there anything else I need to set? Are these safe settings, even under stress and gaming? Sry for the long post, thanks.

So I should lower the ram voltage to 1.5? Is there any point in raising the FSB?

U should defenitly lower HT to 2000 instead of the 2600 Ur at now. What temps are U getting?

No problem running at higher speed if U can. Max cpuv would be 1.55v.

Keep pushing if temps allow it

For my 965, all I did was raise multiplier to x19. Nothing else. For 4.0, I raise vcore to 1.45 and multi. to 20. Never did a full Prime95 on that though.

you can overclock in a couple different way. just multiplier, or use just fsb, or both. i would recommend you take a look at this nifty guide that a fellow OCN user made.
