6950 Unlocked Shaders weird problem

Thread Starter
So... I purchased an ASUS 6950 2gb reference card a couple of months back. The first thing i did was flash it with the "unlocked shaders" and 1.175v (stock mem timings/volts/clocks). It has been working perfectly... So i decided the other day that its time to start ocing this card; the first thing i noticed is that the card wont go to 1.175v (monitoring with hwmonitor pro), it stays at stock 1.1v (yes im sure the bios i flashed has a 1.175v core). Second problem is that i cant overclock it at all, at 820mhz (810mhz stock) i cant complete a run of 3dmark11... I tried flashing another bios, even 6970 bios and still the problem persists... Has this happened to anyone before? cant seem to find someone with the same problem on the forums.

Thanks for your advice.

You have to raise the voltage to 20%, I will post you a picture in a minute, that might be worth trying

Edit: Oh btw check my sig, there isn't much benefit in overclocking the memory, just incase you were considering

Open RBE and compare your stock bios to the flashed bios. Then you can confirm that the voltage is in fact 1.175.

You probably flashed it with a 6950-stock-everything-but-shaders-unlocked bios.

Pardon my ignorance, but where in RBE do i verify the vcore? I dont see anywere anything with a 1.175v...

I don't know how much you know.

Use gpuz to save a copy of the bios from the card. Then, load it into RBE. The voltages for startup, idle, load, etc are on the second or third tab, iirc.

Edit: This is all you need to know.

Edit: Voltages are in the lower left of the "clock settings" tab/page.
