Normally everything that has the Ikea name on it is way overpriced.

I don't know I just happen to stumble upon a desk that was Ikea, checked the price it was cheaper then the desks at my local staples and same quality. I guess I could have bought a low quality desk from Walmart for cheaper but most of those are a piece of crap.

But you may be right I might have found a lucky one. Seeing as this is my one and only experience with Ikea I'm not willing to go to "bat" for them just yet but at this point I like them.

On a side note the desk was easier to put together then the box Walmart desks I have bought in the past thumb.gif

I checked the Ikea site, and it looks like the prices are fairly reasonable now... The thing that gets me, is that everything they sell is so simple... A piece of MDF on some legs cost $150, and then you have to pay extra for all the attachments and accessories. lol

I'll just build my own when the time comes, and save some dough in the process.

That's an ikea desk except the frame was upgraded.

LoL the desk I am currently using is one of those crapy flake board desks from Wal Mart. It's sturdy (for now) but I really hate it haha

Mine is MDF, (I think) It's nice and sturdy, and has been for years, as it was owned by two different people before it was given to me. It's just not big enough for me anymore. I need A LOT more room.

Looks similar to mine. Although mine cost less than $100 and required some welding skill. It's all 1" square tubing, including the TV mounts, and MDF.
