i got the same ram in my pc and tryed it in my moms
so its not the ram.
but one think i did notice was after the frist build i checked the bios and the cpu
temp was like 70c .
so i thought the intel cooler was mounted wrok but it was all snug.
so i took that one off and i put mine on from my 2600k
and the temps went down to 59c that still to how for just sitting in the bios.
then i was to see if i could speed up the cpu fan so i checked the monitor seting in the bios
and the fan speed only went to 600 rpms
is that all the stock fan goes up to.
I had a problem with my Sandy Bridge motherboard running the fans too low, which was causing the CPU to run at something like 58 C on idle. If I remember right I had to disable the software control for the fan speed within the BIOS and set it run at maximum. Now my CPU runs at 33 C idle.
