These solutions are pretty even, they will trade blows depending on what game or bench you are running.

the 580 upsides are obvious, single GPU so none of the problems associated with dual GPU's

the dual card IMO should not be on your radar sceen. upgrade path is not good as quad SLI pretty much scales lousy,

That being said the 580 has a clear ugrade path as SLI scales fantastic these days

If you are trying to save a few dollars here this seems to be a better solution IMO x2

sure they are close in performance now, but with the 580 you can sli a second or even third card down the road when the demand for more performance is there. with the 460-2win there is no upgrade path as they don't support a second 2win.
