Indeed, I think he'll have plenty of fps at that resolution.

Totally agree with this. Nice budget build

i3-2100 and 560 Ti if you can wing it.

EDIT: Quick Build I did up for around €533

Far better performance, and should run quieter/cooler...

+1 ... great to able to include a GTX560 Ti

As I stated before...look at the bench marks for i3-2100...i was surprised a dual core able to beat out a lot of the AMD quads. I don't know how it is done as I don't know much about cpu architectures, and if you want add a decent cooler and you can easily OC at least up to 3.5-4.0 ghz...

I would have to disagree. The 6790 is nothing but a 6850 with a bad core. Much like the AMD x3 cpus.

He won't be able to overclock. The problem with the Sandy Bridge architecture is that the bus speed is locked to the PCI clock, so increasing one can mess with the other, that's why the K models exist so you can up the multi to compensate.

3.1Ghz should be perfectly fine, and the 2100 has hyperthreading, so it is effectively 4 threads, which is why it performs on par, or better than AMD Quads.

Unfortunately, the mobo is more expensive on my site and the gpu is about 10 euro's more too. Total is around 600

Would a gtx 550 Ti do the job? If I choose that one, I end up at the price I want.

Is there any cheaper H67/P67 motherboards? What's the site?

I'd really try and go for the 560 Ti. Maybe go for a 250-500GB HDD to shave some euros off?

I did up a build at LASystems.be, because your profile says your in Belgium.

€553.66 is the best I can do I think

EDIT: Replace the RAM in the above basket with this. The one in the basket is only 2GB, silly me , this one is only €2 more for 4GB (2x2GB).
