Anyway don't expect to even max out the game, you can only get about medium settings without noticing the game freezing. Remember BF3 will have a more intensive engine, HD textures everywhere, more destructibility ans so on. Later down the road if you want to actually max it out, I would suggest a 570 or a 580.
CG is the M2 Carl Gustav, it's a rocket launcher meant to take out tanks, but the noobs that suck at it use it as a primary weapon. And If I'm getting a new graphics cards, I'll get the HD 6950 and unlock it to HD 6970.

BC2 sometimes acts wonky with older processors so comparisons may not be accurate. Make sure you have HBAO disabled to get higher fps.

How would it be any faster? He has a much slower clock speed (Clock speed certainly is important Ipwnnooblets) and they're both quad cores. Yes, he has DDR3 memory, but that wouldn't make a huge difference in a game. This review compares a 760 to a Q9550. The Q9550 is stocked clock at 2.83. I imagine that if it was at 3.5, it would beat the 760 in all of those benchmarks, or at least match it. I couldn't find any benchmarks of a Core 2 Quad at 3.5 versus a 760, but it would great if someone could.

Also, 70 FPS maxed out in BC2 is crap. 45 FPS, like I said.

Sorry for the hijack and mini-rant, but I had to stop the madness.

Nah, the C2Q should still beat or match the i5 with a 700MHz advantage for sure.

These arent sandy bridges here guys.

not that a sandy bridge would even be at 2.8 in the first place.

Yeah doubt a 5770 not OC'd could get 70fps avg @ 1080p. That's about what I was getting on my OC'd 6850.
