Logitech G400 - Page 16

How is the shape compared to the mx510? I've got a mx510 and I like the shape and I would like to try the g400 if it has the same.

The shape is identical except for the feet, which are much larger on the G400.

Can someone confirm the weight is in there like in the MX500?
http://www.exclaim.de/howtos/artikel/87_1/Logitech-MX-500---Gewicht-reduzieren.html

Is it maybe possible to change the hardware only DPI and Hz by some soldering? I want to use it for the Xbox with a XIM Edge and I need it to start with 3500dpi at 125hz.

there is no extra weight anymore, and you won't be able to change the default DPI / HZ.
this would require a different firmware, where the G400 can't update the firmware and you couldn't write your own firmware anyways.

OK thanks, got the mouse meanwhile and the middle button is awful, well it was awful I just removed that deadzone now its working nicely. Posted it on the XIM forum

About the thin cord.. Would a mouse bungee help remedy that? (Or for my case a nail sticking out the wall to hang the cord from)

I've got the g400 and I'm very happy with it but it glides horribly slow on my Puretrak Talent compared to my Deathadder BE. Which mousefeet would be recommended to get more speed on the Talent?
