Then there's the time when a Best Buy employee tried selling a retired couple a $150 Monster Cable HDMI cable claiming that it was higher quality then any other HDMI cable. I caught wind of it and walked over to them and explained that digital signal is digital signal and to go buy a $5 HDMI cable off eBay or a $15 cable off Newegg. I was asked to leave the store....
Ironic.. My Best Buy usually attempts selling the Rocket Fish brand HDMI cable..
Last time I'm saying it and I'm just leaving this thread alone. If you shop at Best Buy, there is something wrong. You already know you can find everything cheaper online, and since you are cheap, you most likely won't get insurance on anything anyway. Best Buy, once again, is not targeting us as their consumers. Newegg and Micro Center are better candidates for us. I do think that YouTube video is a bit misleading though, because Best Buy is definitely an easier route for someone such as my grandmother to buy a PC, rather than Newegg. Hell, my grandmother doesn't even have a computer. She just got voicemail like 4 years ago. She sure as hell will not be able to figure out how to work Newegg. Old people love talking, they can't really do that on Newegg easily. Same goes to those who don't know much about technology. Although, it's definitely not our place electronics-wise, I definitely suggest Best Buy for gaming purposes, specially while trading in videogames. I did not receive less than a dollar for all my trade ins. That is including NBA2K6. Try doing that at anywhere else.
I know, nobody is considering other's when it comes to these sort of topics. But that is why most of us here seem senseless while bashing stores such as Best Buy. It's not even our territory. I love Newegg just as much as the next guy. Also, if you're in a Best Buy, ask for open box items, you would be surprised how much you could low-ball some of the employees Edited by xSeany - 6/9/11 at 10:01pm
