Fastest HDD (not ssd)

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

My server rig in the living room is getting an upgrade. It's running an alternative os (i'll give you a hint, not windows or linux).

Can you recommend me the fastest HDD i can get that's not SSD?
Size is no issue. I only use 30GB for applications/boot drive. Everything else is on TB drives . I'd spend the time googling it, but I there are so many reviews, I just assumed some guru here would know!

without getting a seperate controller, i think the veloci is fastest at 10k. i know they do make 15k scsi drives, but you will need a controller and those can get expensive.
