Since ek gpu block gone bad......

Thread Starter
im in a market for gtx 570/580 block since EK has Nickel failure i have to look elsewhere.. i had a few recommendation of blocks
but i cant decide which will give me the higher performances

my current WC setup xspc Rs240 kit to cpu
i have Rx240 and 4gt fans on my way but i no gpu block and a spare 350 pump if it cant handle

here's a few that im looking at

Koolance VID-NX580 (Price is decent, looks idk kinda weird imo)
Aquacomputer Aquagrafx GTX 580 (really digging this one especially the nickel plated edition. but its out of stock cant find one in us)
Heatkiller GPU-X³ GTX 570 / 580 (Also nice looking one but, but i cant stand the look of copper)
Evga Hydro Copper 2 580 (I will even consider this one)

so im basically looking for a block that has good flow because i would like to run only 1 pump in a single loop with less restriction (if not, i have that spare pump for backup). i would like to know your guys thought and want would you get from the list above..

The EK Copper blocks are still good, if you want to stay with EK.
The other blocks that you listed, except for hydro copper, are good.

I'm in the same boat as you. Been looking at the Koolance and Aqua one. I really like the Aqua one but it's out of stock :/. I'm probably going to order my new blocks within a few days so unless they get more in stock I'm going with the Koolance one. Also getting a HK 3.0 cpu block.

As a potential customer of the Hydro Copper 2, I'd like to know what's so bad about them?

I'm looking into them also because of the true 1slot form factor.

Ditto. I haven't seen/heard anything bad about them. I'd appreciate some info.

From what I've seen around the forums the Hydro Copper 2's are of a better design internally than the 480 HC. It's still Swiftech, but it's better than the old Hydro Copper.

Dont get me wrong, the HydroCopper 2 is a decent block. When it comes to cooling the VRM with Hydro Copper 2, the block doesnt cool them well. That can be a problem while the gpu is overclocked.

Your image is of a 480. That doesn't exactly pertain to the 580s. But I see your point.
