How much is too much?

Thread Starter
I don't know about you guys but I hate having to do a lot of work in post to make a picture look great. It isn't always possible for me to get a shot how I want it to look due to either a lack of skill or equipment so I do my best to correct this in post. (Feathered selections to adjust exposure in areas, etc.)

What do you think?

I spend as little time as possible in post, unless it's for someone else.

I think you might have a look at what you spend most of your time adjusting, and see if you can adjust your technique to compensate.

Unless you're shooting landscapes, you just gotta roll with what's there. Ideal is not always ideal.

If you spent more time on post work then it took you to take the image. Then it's too much.

it just depends on the circumstances, personal record for a single image somewhere north 2-4 hours and that was from some film that was shot 30 years ago most of the time was spent trying to fix scratches and dust or damage spots.

I spend maybe 5-10 minutes MAX on a shot. Assuming it's one I need to fix.

White balance, raw exposure fixing. It's all I do in post and takes a couple minutes.
