Replacement pads for MX518

Thread Starter
Suggestions? I have an older MX518 with thin pads, and plan to replace it with a new MX518 that, I have heard, has obnoxiously thick pads. Is this assessment of the new pads correct?

If so, what do you recommend for someone who has a natural claw grip, primarily plays strategy games, does the occasional bit of work in Illustrator/Photoshop, and enjoys shooters that he doesn't suck at?

Thanks all

These words you use are...unfamiliar to me. I must acquire this knowledge.

*google*

Hmm. It does look pretty decent. Not a bad price, though I hope it's worth it. Regarding claw+MX518, I thought a lot of people liked it for that reason? *shrug*

The shape of the MX518 compliments a palm grip more than a claw. It's horrible for fingertip grips too.

Not sure how soon you need this mouse but Logitech seem to be replacing the mx518 with a new model (looks pretty much the same) although hopefully they will put good feet on it nevermind just looked at the product page, it is exactly the same, wide feet, shape, only difference I think is the maximum dpi and the grey color vs the grey camo of the mx. The mx518s you get now have big wide feet which do create a bit of drag, that I don't really like.

Someone already mentioned hyperglides, so

I took a minute to study how I hold my mouse. I thought I was claw, though according to Razer's grip guide that means resting the mouse in your palm. That's anathema to me and, somehow, I missed that tidbit until now.

So, actually, I'm a fingertipper.
