This has nothing to do with Apple specifically. If the code is very similar then it's theft, plain and simple. At the very least this guy should subpoena for Apple's code so an expect can compare the two programs.
There was a similar lawsuit 20+ years ago between Motorola and Intel, and the experts reveals that Motorola literally copied and pasted large sections of the program, so there is precedent for something like this.
Oh, and as off-topic as that guy's post about you was, it was also dead-on, you're literally on every Apple thread, with your mouth firmly attached to their rear end. I don't see you defending other companies in any threads where people hate on them just like they do with Apple...
-The developer used restricted APIs, which is grounds for rejection.
-Apple doesn't permit apps that closely mimic iOS functionality, present or future.
-It's possible Apple already had their iOS functionality under development.
-It's highly unlikely that Apples code looks anything like the developers code.
But I doubt anyone here will allow facts to get in the way.
