[Eng]Wi-Fi Sync developer says he was 'fairly shocked' by Apple's similar Wi-Fi Sync. - Page 5

I think its more of the logo than the feature itself. Once you make something, you have the rights to it. With the blatent copy in the Apple version, he could have a case with that.

I don't really think this is a big deal. Wi-Fi Sync was coming eventually, and there's really only one simple name for it and that is 'Wi-Fi Sync". Regarding the icon, Apple's icon is quite similar, but I don't really think they're "copying" the maker of that Wi-Fi Sync app. Both the middle and outside images that comprise the icon are already icons present in iOS, they've just been combined.

The real news story for me is that iOS didn't have Wi-Fi Sync until now (at v5)... even the first generation Zunes had this (5 years ago).

I would never get an iPhone. When I upgrade my current phone it will be to an Android handset.

That goes against the entire Apple naming scheme... I'd expect something more along the lines of iSync

It's perverse, then Apple goes out saying they are so inventive and unique. The fanboys line up and march to defend Apple's stance.

All while Jobs is makine $400 a unit how do people not compare technology prices to unit prices. Comparable iMac to my pc was almost $2000 more. It was still worse.

Because half the time, people have both the disposable income to not really care about value and they want something they know and are familiar with. It's simple really, not everyone is out there to get the last word is performance and value.

Yet a little bit a research goes a very very long way you can save so much money by comparing phones online for an hour before you go to the store.
