Any venomous x owners? - Page 3

I had it before my H70. Definitely just below the heavyweight champions of Noctua DH-D14 and Thermalright Silver Arrow, so it fares really well. Was a real worthy investment back then

I'm still using ven-X on my q6600...
it works well, and really scales well with high CFM fan,

but using high CFM fan in push-pull setup rather in vain with this ven-X

I did some tests and here's the results:

pushing some clock and volts, the trend looks the same:

I'm just curious, but what brand of TIM are you using?

I'm using the noctua NT-H1 for all the test,
any other suggestion for better temps?

Thats probably as good as most, within a degree or 2.
I've been using Arctic Cooling MX for about the last year or so.
Now using MX-4, and have had great results.
Considering that before I was using AS5, which was good some years ago, but there are so many better today.

I pretty much swear by MX-4 now, and regard it as one of the best TIM's

Yeah I have one. But I reckon if u have high ambients like mine even a low end closed looped water cooler will perform better.

Your right, under full load, you will see a good 6 to 8C lower, on water, but without a chiller, your still a bit hampered by the ambient temps. Just not as much as a air cooling system would be.

I'm also lucky, my room is temp controlled, and usually at a steady 70F

still got a decent amount of that NT-H1 now,
surely will look for the MX-4 once I run out of it...

thanks for the suggestion mate

OP, you'll be very happy with the VenX. I have used just about everyone of the top air coolers out there and I'm still using the VenX.
