How to RMA open box Asus P8P67 Pro?

Thread Starter
Just received it from newegg open box today. I hooked everything up and it would not post. I tried doing the jumper thing, resetting the cmos, and trying 1 stick of ram but the red memory light stay on(I hit mem ok multiple times, it just restarted and stayed the same) and there was no video or beep.

So its open box so I can only get a refund right? I heard that asus open box items had warranty based on the serial so would it be best to talk with them?

Or should I refund with newegg and try to get another open box one? If I refund with newegg, should i like keep connection and io shield incase next mobo doesn't have it or would newegg know anything because they said it might not come with them and i've heard about lots of other OB mobos on this site that didn't come with io shields.

I didn't plan on spending anymore then the price I got with the OB motherboard, so i would definitely try to get it again because I've already spent my money on cpu and ram. Any thoughs would be appreciated

You can RMA it through Asus no problem or you can send it back to Newegg and have them refund the full amount. They should give you a return shipping label so you do not have to pay for shipping and you can probably get them to give you a $20 credit on your next purchase.

Depends. Technically they want all included items, but YMWV.

I don't think you can RMA it to ASUS, there's only a newegg RMA warranty.
