Cheap Logitech G19 or other keyboard?

Thread Starter
Well, I have a hard time deciding whether to get a G19 for 120$ which would be 133$ after tax since I am in canada ): or should I consider a different keyboard? I am not sure if mechanical keyboards would really appeal to me since they are loud as hell, I might consider the blackwidow ultimate but seeing as I already have an imperator and carcharias I really don't wanna lean for an all razer setup... my budget would be around ~100$ish give or take.

Well, reason being is I'm able to find a cheap g19 for 120$ which is 100$ cheaper than the original pricing but I'm not quite sure if I should even be paying an absurd amount just because the keyboard looks very appealing to me in terms of appearance. I don't mind getting the g19 but am just having a hard time convincing myself to pay more than 100$ for a keyboard when I've had this acer keyboard that I got from buying a prebuilt computer about 5-6 years ago and it feels like it's giving my fingers cramps after 4-8 hours of gaming sessions.

If you are looking to go with mechanical keyboards and want it quiet the b lackwiddow is the worst thing you could look at. Don't get me wrong, I love my blackwiddow, but it has blue switches, which are the loudest switches there are. Look around, there are some mechanicals that have all the benefits of mechanical keyboards but without the click noise.

Heh, more than a few members here have no problem spending over $300 on their keyboards (myself included) so you shouldn't feel too bad about that $120.

On the other extreme the Newegg Rosewill RK800 for $10 (on sale) has a Gaming Optimized KRO matrix as good as that $120 G19.

If my memory serves me right blacks are the quietest. (Wow that sounds racist)

No, browns are quieter based on ability to not bottom out as much as the blacks.
